Pu-Erh is formally known and grown in the Chinese province of Yunnan. It is well-known in Asia for its medicinal properties. The processing is unique - the leaves are pressed and undergo a longer fermentation stage. The tea is then cellared and re-fermented under humid conditions, sometimes for several years. Top quality Pu-Erh teas are sold at auction for high prices.
